About the FSBD: Some
of the best training and racing information
for people of all ages and abilities is maintained by bloggers. The biggest problem though is trying to find a
blog that matches your specific interests and goals.
Typically the "information" about the blog is simply a link
to someone's name or a blog title, and you have to click on
each link individually to read the blog to see if it is
about what you are interested in (or in many cases, to see
if the blog even has anything to do with the subject of
running at all).
Searching
the FSBD: The FSBD can be searched by one or more categories, allowing
Faithful Soles members to instantly link to a blog that matches their own
personal specific goals and interests. Categories include
(the more categories selected, the more specific the search
results):
-
Age Group
-
Sex
-
Location - Currently
bloggers from 41 states in the USA and 24 other
countries around the world
-
Experience level (beginner,
intermediate, advanced, elite)
-
Fitness Type (walker,
racewalker, jogger, runner, duathlete, triathlete, etc.)
-
Events completed and/or in
training for (everything from 1 mile to 10K to marathons
to ultra-marathons to Ironman)
-
Blog description, which is a
brief statement submitted by the blogger related to what the
blog is about
What is most impressive is that all
of the blogs listed in the FSBD are by people who made the
choice to log onto Faithful Soles and fill out the form to
link their blogs, therefore not one single person has been
added without permission. |
