Faithful Soles - Business
Advertisement Overview |
On April 2, 2007, Faithful Soles
(FS)
launched a brand new "Running Links" section, with
advertising on the "Running Links" section available
beginning on July 5, 2007. This will give
businesses the opportunity to advertise their products and/or
services to thousands of members and visitors to Faithful Soles. For
businesses who cater to customers in local markets, they will have
the opportunity for their ad to appear in the specific Geographic
Advertisement Area page (or pages if they have multiple stores) of their choosing. We
already have nearly 100 running clubs who will have links on
Faithful Soles from around the USA and other countries whose members
will have access to our site, including everything from the largest
running club in the USA to clubs with small local memberships, and
we are continually contacting more running clubs to make this list
as comprehensive as possible. If you have any questions or comments
about advertising a business,
please email them to
Account Services.

Overview of Faithful Soles web site
hits and statistics: Since
launching Faithful Soles in August of 2006, web site hits have grown
at a rapid pace.

Faithful Soles
Blog Database Demographics
as of May 19, 2008:
Statistics repeat every
75 seconds
Although these statistics
represent only bloggers who have linked to our Blog Database, feedback
and emails to the site would indicate these percentages are
representative of the vast majority of members and visitors to the site. |
- For the fourth quarter of 2006 (October-December),
Faithful Soles average web site hits for members and visitors was
approximately 15,000 hits per month;
- In the first quarter of 2007
(January-March), web site hits had a dramatic increase:
- January and February
jumped to almost 2,000-3,000
hits per day, resulting in 60,000-90,000 hits each month;
- In March, hits per day grew to 4,000-5,000, with approximately 135,000 hits for the month.
- For the month of April, 2007, (through
April 25), counts have averaged approximately 5,500 hits per day, with our
all-time record number of hits in a single day of 6,940 occurring on April
25.
- At the current rate, we estimate web
site hits to grow to
as high as 250,000+ hits per
month by the
end of the 2007 calendar year (these figures will be updated on a
quarterly basis). FS attributes this increase in site
hits primarily to:
- The wide appeal of the content on FS to
members and visitors who include walkers, racewalkers, joggers, runners,
ultra-runners, cyclists, swimmers, duathletes and triathletes of all
ages and abilities.
- Increasing numbers of running clubs,
upcoming races, charities, and miscellaneous announcements being linked
from around the USA and numerous other countries from around the world
- The success of the site appearing in
more and more search engine results;
- Having links back to FS being placed on
countless running-related web sites and blogs, where visitors to those
sites are clicking on the FS links and coming to our site;
- The growing popularity of our
categorized and searchable Blog Database which now has bloggers from 41
states in the USA and 24 other countries around the world;
- Newspaper articles, television
appearances and speeches by Robert Key, Founder of Faithful Soles;
- Word of
mouth and/or email.

What is included with a business advertisement?
- Business Name
- Business Logo - Faithful Soles
reserves the right to crop and/or resize logos as it sees fit for page layout.
-
Sample
Logo Size "A" - Rectangular or oblong/elliptical
shaped logos may be a maximum width of 150 pixels and a maximum
height of 100 pixels (unless they are submitted smaller than this,
then they would remain the size submitted). In these cases, the logo
would be resized keeping the same aspect ratio of the original logo
size. For example, a logo that is 300 X 200 pixels would be resized
to 150 X 100, which keeps the same aspect ratio. A logo 300 X 100
would be resized 150 X 50, again keeping the same aspect ratio, etc.
-
Sample
Logo Size "B" - Square and circle logos would be
resized to a maximum of 100 X 100 pixels (unless they are submitted
smaller than this, then they would remain the same size). If you are
not already aware, circle logos appear as a circle on the screen,
but are in most cases within a pixeled square which is not visible
on the screen.

Overview of Geographic Advertising Areas:
You may choose only one of the four Area
choices listed below for your advertisement. If you are interested in
advertising in more than one of the 4 area types listed below, you must submit
and pay for separate advertising for each.
- Area 1: USA by major market (within
a 50 mile radius of a major metropolitan area) - Members and visitors to Faithful Soles will be able to select from a
listing of major metropolitan areas by state in the USA. Once at the page,
they will have menu items accessible for the specific type
of item(s) or services they are looking to purchase. Advertisements for each
category are listed vertically in the left-hand column (in the order shown
above under "Business Categories include:") and appear in the order that the
businesses within that category signed up to advertise with FS. Members and
visitors can go directly to that specific group of advertisers on the page
by simply clicking the category of products or services they are looking for.

- Area 2: USA by state or state
region - States with smaller overall geographic areas, smaller
populations and/or sparsely populated areas past a 50 mile radius of a major
metropolitan area may be set up with an entire page just for that state, or
into state regions (for example, a larger state which may have for example a NE,
NW, SE and SW region that would encompass all cities within those areas not
within a 50 mile radius of a major metropolitan area, whereas Rhode Island
or Delaware may only have a state page due to their size geographically).

- Area 3: Countries outside USA
- At this time, all countries outside the USA will have all advertisers
listed on one page for that country. As major metropolitan areas are
identified and warrant separate pages, then those advertisers will be given
the option to move their advertisement to the major metropolitan area page,
or leave it on the main country page.
View sample page.
- Area 4: Stores that have nationwide
locations and/or are exclusively
online and the vast majority of their sales are to customers all over the
USA and/or worldwide - These
advertisers will appear at the top of the opening "Running Links" page, which is viewed by
all members and visitors accessing that page prior to their going to a
specific major market, state, state region or other country.
